The Cross: Happy and Good???

You see under the old testament is the law and the law is what hung on the cross, so that grace could come. Every judgment, chastisement, resentment, guilt, fear, shame, rejection, it all nailed through His flesh, anchored to the cross and died with Christ as it was spoken through His last words “It is finished!”

The Risk of Doing Business

“If You’re helping someone and expect something in return, you’re doing business not kindness” Apparently this is a quote of Budda, but let’s talk about how God, the creator of the universe, took these words and taught me a valuable lesson. Not to treat others like they are a business transaction and find comfort in Him when others treat me like one.

How We Got Here...

Until I came to the end of myself and realized that all I needed was Him. If I could just learn to master following the One who leads me beside still waters. If I could learn to listen carefully to His instruction and loose sight of myself then I could focus on the only One that loves me no matter what. His love is free and has costed me nothing, but at the same time everything!

What's a cloud the size of a man's hand, got to do with me?

This all reminds me of the story in the bible in 1 Kings 18:44 when Elijah told his prophet to “Go and See’’ for the seventh time, if a cloud was rising to pour out the rain on a land of drought. on the seventh time the prophet reported, “There’s a cloud as small as a man’s hand coming up from the sea.” Then Elijah said, “Go and tell” Ahab, ‘Get your chariot ready and go down so the rain doesn’t stop you.’”

So I see the cloud the size of a man’s hand in the sky above us. What does that look like to me? It looks like our group is growing by the day. People continue to show up to ask how they can help. It’s the first donation from someone who believed in what God is doing through us. It looks like open doors that I didn’t ask to be opened but feel so privileged to walk through are before me everyday.
